165: Ancient of Days Feb 2018


My oil-on-hardboard piece is based on a watercolor done by British polymath William Blake in 1794. His painting has a role in the latest Dan Brown novel, "Origins", which I read recently. It depicts God, a.k.a. Ancient of Days, using best engineering practices by first making a layout before He c$ Everyone knows that if you get too many things occupying the same space, you will get a Big Bang. Wouldn't be$ Better to measure twice, create once.

This is a photograph taken by the Hubble Telecope. I was struck by the color choices that someone in the time of George Washington would use as compared to the actual colors of the stuff out there.
